Ok, how about the best 19" LCD under $600

The LG L1910BK. Hands down my favorite LCD. 3 year warranty with drop ship replacement. If it stops working properly, they ship you a replacement and you ship the bad one back.

Much as I hate to support the big guys, I'm currently using a Dell UltraSharp 19" that I paid less than $500 for via eBay... and it just ROCKS. Highly recommended. I believe mine is the 1903FP but there is probably a newer model available now. Mine is SUPER sharp, has a sub 20ms response time and pivots. Also includes 4 USB ports on the monitor itself.
Speaking of Dell................I found this not sure if it is the same model(but 1.1" larger, and 0.255 mm pixel pitch @ 1600x1200 ) as yours Shiva, looks to be a good buy though and as you did want a 21" originally Masif this is not a bad plan........is it?

I think that is just the latest-and-greatest in the same series as the 19" that I use. Don't think this model was available at anywhere near this price when I bought mine (almost a year ago).Quote:

Me too, looks to be a good buy for the spec, it is tempting.......maybe soon :)

The only problem I have with the Dell LCD's is that they're supported by Dell. Their tech. support is AWFUL. Out of the 100's of LG LCD monitors that we've sold to customers, I've had to call LG 3 times. All three times, I spent less than 10 minutes on the phone and I had a replacement monitor the next day before lunch.
I would have to agree on the help from Dell, it would be minimum, i had a problem with my T904-dead pixel(s)- i contacted Benq by e-mail to find out about their dead pixel policy and they replied straight away and i then explained the problem, they gave me a phone number for a relevant department and i rang up got given a order replacement number and a courier was arranged, and a replacement came within a few days and swapped the original with a brand new perfectly fine T904 = one happy customer, and i still have another 2 years and 5 months left of my guarantee :)

Not sure on the price range you are looking at, but Philips, Samsung and Viewsonic have consistently won high marks with their LCD screens.
I also own a Samsung which resides on my wife's system. 17", great picture quality. If I'd never seen the Dell I wouldn't have known any difference.
Samsung's 19 and 21" models also get good press, decent price points, and the newest models sport a sub 10ms response time (at least SOME of the models do).
