Links in Outlook 98 Messages

I use to only have Internet Explorer.

I then installed My IE 2 since it handled tab browsing. Any web links found in Outlook Express and/or Outlook 98 messages would open My IE 2.

I then installed Firefox. However, the email message links still use My IE 2 to open the webpages even though Firefox says it's my default browser. If I uninstall My IE 2 the email message links don't respond at all - no browser opens at all.

Any thoughts to get these links to open in Firefox?

I was pointed to this from a duplicate post on WinForums.org.

Sorry I never got back to this ... but applying this "solution" allowed this to work as I want only once. Then everything reverted to opening My IE.

I since tried un-installing My IE and the re-installing FireFox but then NO browswer opened when I double clicked a link in Outlook. It seems I HAVE to have My IE installed to open any links in Outlook.

Any other suggestions? I'd hate to have to re-install XP HOME and all my software (minus My IE) just to have this feature work correctly.
