Can you tell me about this Trendmicro found these

My computer had slowed way down. I had just scaned yesterday morning on Norton, was supposedly clean.

It kept getting slower, to a crawl. I went to TrendMicro and used the free scan and this is what it found.

Since I never had any before, can someone tell me what these mean? How would I get them in my documents when I had not added any? Explain please.

I had to delete them as they were UNFIXABLE

My computer is acting o.k. again. WHEN I RAN NORTON MY TOWER MADE A GRINDING SOUND. What was that and why?

I think I need to ditch Norton, but who best to go with. So many anti-virus to choose from.

This JAVA malware is found in malicious Web sites as part of a Web page applet. It comes in the form of a compiled Java class, and may be called from an HTML page.

It exploits the ByteVerifier vulnerability in unpatched versions of Microsoft (MS) Java Virtual Machine, which could allow a file to be downloaded and executed without a user’s knowledge.

If one still has MS Virtual Machine on their PC it should be version 5.00.3810. If you do not have that version you are vunerable. To see what version you have, go to a command prompt and type jview and hit return. The version you have will then display. (For 98 & ME goto Start/Run type command in the Open box. Once the DOS window is open type jview. For NT, 2K, or XP, Start/Run, type cmd in the Open box. Once the window is open type jview.)

If you have anything less than build 3810, go here and follow the instructions to update your PC.

The other thing to be aware of is that Sun's Java (which has replaced MS Virtual Machine as Window's default Java) also needs to be updated too. You can check the version you have for it by going to Start/Settings (not for XP though)/Control Panel/Add/Remove Programs. Scroll down to Java 2 Runtime Environment and check the version number. It should be 1.4.2_06 or higher. If it's not, you could have possible exploit issues with the older version. To update Java, go here. Scroll down to the section marked as J2SE v 1.4.2_07 JRE includes the JVM technology. This is the newest version. Instructions are noted by the download link.

If both of these components are up to date (note newer XP machines do not have/need/use MS Virtual Machine) then known Java exploits would not be downloaded...
