I am dual booting win95 with win2000 pro and want to play some older games in win95....I need a dos driver for the cdrom drive and do not remember what I need to do to make this work...I think I need to download mscdex.exe and do something to the autoexec.bat and config.sys but I cant remember...it has been may years since I used win95 and win98 you doint have to do this please help me with this

Easiest and hopefully simplist is to go to your CD's manufacturer's site and download the installation disk for DOS.
Otherwise your mscdex.exe should be in the windows\command directory and you can get oakromcd.sys off of your Windows 2000 boot disk. Mscdex.exe goes in the autoexec.bat, and *.sys in config.sys. Sorry don't remember exact syntax. Others will know that.
One guy here (PC Solutions) also recommends creating a special DOS icon set to a specific autoexec.bat and config.sys files so you don't have to load the dos drivers on bootup.

I am thinking that I could boot with a win98 boot disk but how can I load the sound drivers on this disk???? I am sorry to ask such easy questions but I cannot remember much about win95 and dos!!
You say you want to run in Windows 95! If that Windows is functional, it should load the CDROM and sound drivers. If you are talking REAL DOS mode, then you will need drivers for that mode. Those are what David referred to. What you can do with the sound card and CDROM you are using depends on what they are.
For booting from a floppy, if you know what commands are used and have the files on the hard drive, you can point to those from the floppy's config.sys and autoexec.bat files. You only need the io.sys, autoexec.bat, config.sys and a properly modified msdos.sys on the floppy to boot and run Windows 95.
It would help to know specifically what you have and what you want to do.

If you have win95 then look for: c:\Windows\command\mscdex.exe
You will need the driver for your particular CDRom (mine being vide-cdd.sys) and the following lines are added to my autoexec and config files.
autoexec.bat
LH MSCDEX /D:MSCD001 /V /S
config.sys
DEVICEHIGH =C:\CD625\VIDE-CDD.SYS /D:MSCD001
If you tell us what your CDRom is, someone may be able to help you with the exact lines and the correct driver.

Also remember that some DOS games require EMS support, so you will also have to load himem.sys and emm386.exe in the config.sys file. So that is why it is important you let us know the make and model of your CD and Sound card.
Also, have you tried running these programs through Win95 itself? I run almost every one of my DOS games that way.
