Right click on My Computer.
Select Properties
Click Performance
Click File System
Click Troubleshooting
Check Disable System Restore
Click Apply
Click OK
Click OK

ps: one more question regarding WinMe system restore: would it be possible to delete all presvious restore points except the last one like in WinXP?
From memory.
Right click my computer> choose properties> performance > files> trouble shooting. Put a check mark on disable system restore > reboot

You could disable it which would clear all and then re-enable it which would create a new restore point as soon as the system reboots.Quote:

Other than that I have had it disabled so long I can't remember.
In fact I use a utility called System Restore Remover Pro which also deletes the hidden _Restore folder.
