new AVG FREE 7

I just downloaded the new AVG FREE 7.., to become very unpleased..

basically what grisoft decided to do, is to do what kerio did when they released the updated and bulky kerio pf 4

although, it isn't much of a problem, since I can just use kerio pf 2.1.5 without a problem, but grisoft is ceasings updates for AVG 6...., so everyone is forced to use the more bulky AVG 7...

I am yet to follow there tips in fixing it, but I will soon.., hopefully it works..



I was thinking..., maybe I could write a program to manually update AVG6.., as long as they use the same definiations..., it should work.., I really dont know why they can't just keep releasing updated definiations for both tho..., I know that norton and macafee still do so for there older versions.., (as long as you pay for it tho...)

EDIT: I tried to fix the bug and failed..., looks like I will be going without an antivirus for a while..., I was thinking that maybe there could be a way to install the new AVG and not have the proccesses running the backround..., I havent had any viruses in a very long time...

I wouldn't go without an anti-virus. Why not download Avast ?

well..., I meant w/o one only till they fix the bug..., it seems alot of people are having problems.., to it shouldn't be too long..

if there isn't one in a week or so.., I'll probably download avast or something...

AVG6 will continue to be supported until December 31.
