file size??
is there anyway i can show the file size of a folder. for example i have the view "details" selected and it will show the file size of everything (exe, zip, doc, txt etc) but for a folder there is nothing under the size column, yet if u right click the folder and choose properties it will tell u the size along with how many files and folders are in it. so is there a way to make it show the size under the size column?

I don't think so, because it would be very slow for it to calculate the size of the contents every folder you are looking at.

to do this I do a right click on the folder and look at Properties. Sometimes it takes a moment to add it up, but it works for me. Hope that helps you.

Go to My Computer>Tools>Folder Options and check "Display file size information in folder tips". Then when you hover the cursor over a folder it will display size.
