hey people this is my first post,
just hoping someone could help me with a problem i am having. I brought a compaq SR1180uk computer base unit and i think it has a ASUS PTGD1-LA mother board but i dont know!
is there any program which can tell me my system temps?
I have tried
Speed fan
motherboard monitor
hardware monitor
and non of them seem to give me any temp info part from my hard drive.
anyone please help

You can try this program and see if it will read the temps. It usually does for other computers but if your motherboard doesn't have a sensor on it, like some older computers didn't have, even it won't read the temps. It is called Everest, it is also freeware, and is used by many of us here. You can get it here:

that is the web address for my motherboard. I know there is a way to view my system temp and fan speeds because i can view them in the bios.
i just need to find a win app which can give me the reading.
iv opened up the base and found this writen on a big chip
A8000 D0422 A2L1410 8H11763C if that helps
In Everest, under the heading "Computer" click on the plus sign +, and then click on "Sensor", that should give you system temps and fan speeds.
nope its just got my hard drive smart reading thats all. i dont understand why coz its in my bios
i guess im going to have to wait till something supports my mobo. I know the mobo is very new coz its got pci express on it.
my bios even gives me all my fan speeds
Yes, since your board supports the new PCI Express, then it may be too new for sensing programs such as those you have tried and you may have to wait for them to catch up to the newer technology. As you can see below, Everest shows mine just fine under the Sensor:
