Wireless on a laptop
Hey people
I have a new HP laptop that has the built in wireless capability. The user of it needs to be able to go from building to building and connect wirelessly. However, she needs to have a different ip number for each building ( building 1 is 10.1.xxx, building 2 is 10.2.xxxx). Unfortunately DHCP will not work in this situation. Is there a way I can set her wireless card up to use more than one ip number, or set the machine up for different locations with different ip numbers (like you can on an Apple)?
Thanks

petflunky, are you running Windows XP? If so, take a look here at the following Microsoft Knowledge Base Article.

Yeah, the machine is running XP pro. Just forgot to tell you. Thanks for the link. I'll see if it helps :)

I haven't done anything to the machine yet, but I'm in the process of trying to upgrade the xp machines to sp2. I'll post back when I'm done.
