Windows 2000 Shutdown
At my office I have Windows 2000 Professional on my machine. Unlike Windows 98SE and Windows Xp The 2000 version does not shut down completely until the message comes up "it is now ok to shut down your computer". Then you must shut it off manually. This system does wotk through a server, not sure if that matters. Is there a way to have it shut down completely without shutting down manualy.
Thanks for your help.

Go to Control Panel>Power Options and see if there's a tab called APM. If there is then check the box for ACPI (it should be the only one in the tab). Then your PC will shut down completely.
If you don't have an APM tab, then you may need to update the BIOS.
