Couple Interlnk questions

I was recently trying the interlink program.
When using the mode command from a command prompt, I tried to set a COM port to 19200 and received
"Function not supported on this computer"
I read that the mode command for this speed and higher may not be available on some non-IBM PS2 computers at MSKB. They recommend using a communications program to achieve higher COM port speed.

Question: How does the communication program set the COM port speed to its full potential....say 115kbs on a non-IBM?

Question2: Can the Microsoft Windows 95 setup.exe program work over an Interlink/Intersvr setup between two computers using a serial or parallel cable without copying files to the local target?

2. No. An InterLnk/InterSvr setup only allows you share disks and printer ports. It is not capable of allowing you to 'control' the other computer.

I have a second used AST Pentium computer which someone copied Windows 95 CAB files to. I recently bought a null serial cable and was successful getting a working "server" (the AST) interlnk connection using your instructions in a previous post.
I was able to copy files from the server etc...

The cab files are in a WIN95C directory on the AST. I was just wondering what would happen if I accessed the Win95C directory from my MS-DOS based computer over the interlink connection and tried running setup. If 95 setup begins, would it prompt for a drive and directory? Could I specify the local (non-server) drive as the destination to complete an install of windows 95 on my MS-DOS computer?

From what I remember, you'll need to copy the files to a directory on your "MS-DOS based computer" first, then run SETUP from within that directory.
