Cumulative Security Update for Internet Explorer 6 Service Pack 1 causing problems

There is a problem with these 2 Microsoft patchs.
Cumulative Security Update for Internet Explorer 6 SP1 (KB824145) and (KB832894).

After the load if I do a right mouse click on Start and select Explorer, then if I do a left click on My Documents, My Network Places or My Computer it doesn’t take me there but just turns green from blue.

Once I do a restore to the previous day my selects work that I decribed above. What gives here? Anyone else have this problem?
