I somehow now have iSearch plugin toolbar installed on IE 6. I can't remove it via control panel add/remove, I can deselect it from displaying on the IE tool bar but I want to delete it off my computer.
It has also captured my home page and I can't select another home page since it has deactivated all the homepage buttons on the Tools/Internet Opyions /General tab.
Any help greatly appreciated!

Adaware found 2 cookies and removed them, not iSearch related.
On finding an error text msg in the iSearch folder I discovered I could move a Isearch dll and Isearch would think it was corrupted and uninstall itself from IE. It worked then I moved the iSearch folder to the recyle bin. However you will see that Hijackthis still found an Activex component on my computer shall I select and delete in in Hijackthis? The line I reference is:
O16 - DPF: {1C78AB3F-A857-482E-80C0-3A1E5238A565} - http://toolbar.isearch.com/install/00010/initial.cab

Yes remove it.
I would recommend that you use Spybot as well, as each may find what the other hasnt.
Also if you post your full HijackThis log then we can have a look and see if anything else needs removing.

I'm having trouble getting rid of iSearch Toolbar as well. Which dll file should I move?
SpySweeper, AdAware, and Spybot don't seem to find anything when I run them.
Sorry, I thought I had included the Hijackthis log file. Had to change the extension since the attach file doesn't include .log as an option. Attached it this time.
p.s. I have been running Spybot and PestPatrol for many months.
To easily uninstall the ISearch Toolbar, just go to the website " http://toolbar.isearch.com/uninstall/ ". When you enter that website, you will be asked if you would like to install the Isearch toolbar remover. Once you click "Yes" and download the uninstall file, it will automatically remove the Isearch toolbar from your Internet Explorer. Enjoy! :)
Your log seems to be free from spyware.
I did this and it just pushed all the iSearch stuff from windows/system/isearch to windows/system/isearch_tmp
kind of sneaky...

Well, for me, after running the uninstall file and removing the ISearch toolbar from Internet Explorer, I went into the registry editor (regedit.exe) and started deleting all the registries containing the file name "toolbar.dll". After deleting all the registries, I restarted my computer, and was able to delete the folder "C:\windows\system32\isearch". ISearch is completely out of my computer. See if this also works for you.
*FYI: I'm pretty sure you know about "regedit" already, but just as a reminder, be careful what registries you delete.

For another FYI, please back up your registry before making any changes. To do this, go to "File" in the menu bar, then "Export" name it anything you want, making sure the .reg extention is there. I usually name mine with the date of editing.
Mant thanks to all that replied, I believe my system is now iSearch free!

I had the isearch toolbar on my machine...after reading the messages here I was able to totally remove it..Thanks for the help...But I still have after affects that I think were caused by the toolbar
When I right click on the IE toolbar to change what is dispalyed, everything is grayed out and can't be click,,the only thing that can be clicked is TEXT LABELS...How can I get this back to the way it was...???

nolabartender, Go to the link below and under the letter "T" scroll down to "Toolbar Repair" and download & run the "Toolbar Repair Utility" which corrects missing Address Bar, Toolbars and/or Menu bars in Windows Explorer and Internet Explorer and hopefully will correct your problem.
