dial up disconnects

owdy,
I have a friend who is in real estate and is trying to download updates to a special program he has. The problem is his dial up disconnects during the download. He is running ME and my knowledge of that is little to none. Where do I go to change the settings in the dial up? The enable dial up disconnection is currently unchecked, that I know. any help would be greatly appreciated.

Usually the settings are in modem properties.
Just an after thought but has he considered using a download manager like getright this will save any partial download and continue where he leaves off.

thanks for the idea. actually it was a problem with the program he was running. it had a auto disconnect line..
