Outlook 2000 sending new message from Contacts

I would like to know how to send a new email from contacts. I understand sending it to one person but if I want to send the the new email to multible people how do I get the second or third etc address into the "TO" field.
Currently I am using the address book but from what I understand I should only be using the Contacts. Is there a way to export my address book into Contacts so I can then delete everyone out of the address book. I do currently have email addresses in my Contacts folder.

To import the address book, in Outlook go to File>Import and Export and step through the wizard. If you're trying to import an address book from Outlook Express, which is a .wab file, you'll need to export it first from OE into a "Comma Separated Values" (csv) format and then import than into Outlook.

If, however, it's a Pesonal Address Book (pab) file, Outlook will import that without converting it first.

The easiest way to do add recipients is, in a new message window, click the "TO" button at the left end of the To field, then select the recipients from the list and click on the "To->" button to add them. You can add more than one at a time by selecting the first, then holding down the Ctrl key as you select the rest. Then release the Ctrl key and click on that "To->" button to add all the selected ones at one time.

If you have more than one contact folder, above the list of addresses will be a drop-down list where you choose which folder you want to select recipients from.

For the benefit of the recipients, you really should put them in the BCC fields. That keeps their addresses from being seen by the other recipients.
