VPN/Router Network Appliance
I need to VPN into several networks; they each have their own DSL connections with various providers. Some of the networks have Windows 2000 servers and some do not. I need to be able to VPN into the network with the VPN client that is built into Windows 2000/XP. I don't mind using an ouside client as long as the unit comes with the VPN software included and at least 10 licenses.
I've found several boxes that will act as the router and perform PPPoE and share the DSL as well as do the VPN services I need. The problem I'm running into is that most of these units require an outside VPN client or do not come with licenses for a third-party VPN client.
The unit must accept the VPN client built into Windows 2000/XP (or come with third-party software and licenses). The unit can not be a PC; I've set up Linux boxes as routers and that really requires too much effort... besides, this is a confined space and I don't have time to mess with a PC or get some mini-ITX or whatever and get it to fit. I need something that I turn on and walk away. I can't spend time configuring a PC to do this. I don't want to have to troubleshoot minor issues with hardware... I'd rather rip out the whole thing and replace it if there is a problem.
Anybody know something that would do this? I'd like to keep the cost as low as possible. Definitely under $750.... under $500 would be even better.
