Any ideas why after visiting a few sites Outlook Express notification sound stops working along with any .wav sound files I have? I have the sound set to work in setting sounds. Thx in advance. If I power down the PC it will work for a while, but just a restart will not make the .wav type files work.
Is that the only sound file giving you problems?
How about changing to another Theme for a while and assign that e-mail sound to it as well and see how it goes? If you've tweaked this Theme, don't forget to save it with a name if you haven't already.
EDIT: You might try removing your sound card in the Device Manager and reboot.
