I have a 17" CRT Monitor by MAG, I get no picture, just the led blinks. Monitor's about 7 years old, has it given up the ghost or what?
Saw this once when one of the pins on the VGA connector was bent over. Was able to straighten it (without breaking it off) and it was still working last I heard.
Looks to be that 2 pins are missing, I'll compare it with another monitor I have here to see if the same 2 are missing. Thanks
Plugging in and unplugging a few times has cleaned the contacts where the monitor has worked just fine for me. Fact is it still does.
Turns out I only had one pin missing, don't really think it's due to the one missing, I've seen some work with more than one missing. The led blinks even when disconnected from the PC. Tried cleaning them and such... Should I take the cover off and check for fuses and such? Don't bother telling me about the risks involved!
