FYI - I was looking at my firwall logs and noticed an incremental scan of each of my IP addresses on port 27374 - apparently the sub-7 trojan. Is this thing always out there looking around, or is it making a return?

I've noticed a decrease in those slightly older trojan scanners over the last year or so but they haven't dissapeared completely. They have been replaced by other exploits recently that take advantage of newly discovered holes in Microsoft's operating systems... eg- the Blaster worm using port 135 to spread itself.
I would not be too concerned for the time being though since your firewall is catching and blocking the scans and as long as you're keeping on top of PC security, which you seem to be, and always update a/v dat files and MS security patches then you have way less to worry about than many users do.
