So who is the next Governor of California? Will it be 'The Governator', Gary "Arnold whatcoo talkin about Willis" Coleman, or Larry Flint? I have often heard that small town America regarded Californians as a bunch of crazies so now they have some real fuel for the fire. Looking at the situation as a Canadian I gotta laugh.
I'm not concerned with the going ons of California, I live in Texas and we have our own problems, mainly Democrats taking off to Oklahoma or New Mexico. They won't stay in Austin to do their jobs that they were elected to do, so they abandon ship... that's the way I see it. :(
I'm not suggesting it's a problem so much as it's funny. (Light enough for you Smurfy?) Come on you could take these three and replace them in most jokes that start with "A Priest, a Rabbi and a Minister....."
Ok, my vote is for Schwarzenegger. I wasn't surprised when I heard he'd be running. As for Flynt, I don't like the guy, maybe it's the way he looks!:p

Jenae, I think the point is not so much where this race is taking place but who the participants are that make this the humurous topic it is. Admittedly about the only other place in the world I think this could happen would be Italy :D
But I guess the odds are when you have 50+ candidiates, a few of them are going to be "celebrities" when you are talking about a State which prides itself on it's celebrity creation industry?
Arnold & Gary Coleman are sure not unique as history shows: Do the names Ronald Reagan, George Murphy, Shirley Temple Black, Sonny Bono, Fred Thompson, Fred Grandy, and Clint Eastwood ring any political bells?
If Arnold is elected, will he be the exterminator?

I think the whole situation in Califirnia is an inidcation of how far off-track our representative government has gotten. Politicians are now no more that mouthpieces, looking for their 15 minutes of fame, which sadly can last 20 to 30 years! :() of fame. I yearn for the good old days when we elected people who actually represented our views instead of who we think would be coolest (can you say Jesse Ventura?) or who would be the lesser of two evils. I'm still holding out hope that Californians will wake up and actually elect someone qualified, but since many other states haven't been able to do that yet either, I don't think the signs are good.
Vote for Flynt-cause California deserves nothing but the best. Besides, he couldn't be any worse than the guy they recalled. he-he-he

Alas I guess this is just another job Gary Coleman can add to his list of positions he has applied for that he doesn't have a hope of getting.
Arnie sadly will probably get in on the popular vote. But on a positive note I'm sure the Kennedy's will be more than happy to provide lots of help. Let's just hope they don't get him killed as well.
In my Opinion, California is so backwards.
Anything outside of silicone valley is a joke.

From the Pathetic Wining from hollywood, to Funding healthcare to Illegal Aliens.
From NOT building power plants, the result was the joke-power outeges.
all the Enviromental groups out there, to the C.A.R.B.
and the threat of getting hit buy a China missle.
However, California is the place for old cars, as it rarely rains.
Forest fires is a problem.
All these things make-up a very interesting Election!
Hopefully It won't be like the 2000 presidental Election in Florida.

I kind of feel the same way about Arnold Schwarzenegger. The man is a parody of himself. He's a Schmenge Brother.

What an abomination they have made of the democratic process that began more than 200 years ago in such glory and dignity. I had a great-great-great-great-great-grandfather (or thereabouts) who died in the Revolution so this country could be free. Is what we have today all there is?
