DNS Question

Hi,

I keep receiving the following error message on a DC Event Log.

Registration of the DNS record '_ldap._tcp.dc._msdcs.XXXXXX.COM. 600 IN SRV 0 100 389 server.XXXXX.COM.' failed with the following error:
DNS operation refused.

Has anybody seen this before i followed a Microsoft resolution to resolve this but that didn't fix it :( anybody any ideas?

This is on 2000 Server.

It's not registering an SRV record. Is this an ADI zone or primary? How many DC's total do you have?

I traced it to being a dodgy forward lookup zone removed it, and its working great now:D
