Virtual Tour Software

I have searched everywhere but couldn't find anything posted that related to my question. I am trying to figure out the most appropriate virtual tour software for a special little project I am embarking on. I understand that quicktime is probably one of the easiest and simpler ways of achieving a virtual tour but i don't know much more than that. In fact I don't even know what additional quicktime gear I need to download besides the normal quicktime software. I was wondering if anybody has done any of this type of stuff and might be able to point me in the right direction.

At the very least if anybody knows of a messageboard that relates more specifically to this kind of stuff I would certainly appreciate the url.
