Im after a decent dvd rw drive, which is best?
Hi all,
I am after buying a dvd writer i have around £200 ish, i am stuck though because i have heard that there is different formats of dvd/rw drive eg dvd-rw, dvd+rw, dvd-r, dvd+r???
Im puzzled?
which format works on normal household dvd players?
and which dvd writers are the best and fastest for my money? any suggestions plz!

Walker2009, I'd wait a wile because apparently they're going to bring out a new DVD burner that can burn a huge amount of data per DVD disk. I can't remember the size exactly but it's much bigger than 4.5gb or whatever the limmit is at the moment. I found this out talking to a friend in MIRC once. I'll try and contact him again to find out the exact details..
But yeah maybe worth the wait if you want to fit more per disk.
Oh and copying movies even though its illegal it would be much easyer with the new drive because with the current drives you can't always do a perfect copy of DVD's. Most DVD movies are bigger in size than what DVD burners can do at the moment.

while +r remains at about 20%
but the newer dvd players will read either
