quick keyboard reminder question's

Hi,

A few years ago i remember i had to use (i think) the alt gr and shift key's with the number pad to produce characters.

but this doesnt seem to be working so i think i have remebered wrong :confused: .

anyway's i need to be able to do this because we are selling a laptop with a american keyboard to a business who will no doubt ask what combo will produce the £ (pound) charater.

i need help thanx guy's.

Also anybody who use's the english - uk keyboard setup with a american keyboard where is the \ key ???? thanx this has been buggin me for ages.

You need to use the normal (left-hand) Alt key and the numeric keypad instead of Alt Gr.

Can't help you with the other one I'm afraid, I've never used a US keyboard.

Alt+0163=£

Or use the Character Map

The "\" key on an american keyboard is between the "Backspace" key and the "Enter" key.

DuaneB - I have a american keyboard but i wanted to use the british keyboard driver. but cant seem to find the \ key anywhere.

Character map was out of the question as it is really too much hassle.
