2 Modems connected?

ok folks i don't think this will work, but i'll ask anyhow:

First off, i am on dialup :(
If i have 2 modems, 2 phone lines, and 2 internet accounts can i run both modems on the same pc at the same time?

For example, could i use 1 modem to browse the internet, and use the other modem connection to download from Kazaa/Mirc etc? Or will 2 modems conflict on the same pc?

(I'm using XP Pro)

I checked, and my ISP does not support the method of linking the 2 into 1 connection.........
