Question

Hi,

I am going to do one Microsoft course&exam, so i can gain MCP status, i cannot afford to do any more at the moment, as i am funding it myself.

Which would be the best one to go for?

Windows 2000 Networking&Operating System Essentials?
Supporting Windows 2000 Server and Pro?
Implementing a Microsoft Windows 2000 Network Infrastructure?
Or any of the others?

I would like a course that gives a bit of everything from Networking to say RAID.

Do the Professional it is the easiest one.

Ditto to the 70-210 exam.

The least expensive route would be to take the 72-210 Test (Installing, Configuring, and Administering Microsoft Windows 2000 Professional). It's 1/2 the cost of the full 70-210 test.

Afterwards, you can take the other (server portion) 72-215 (Installing, Configuring, and Administering Microsoft Windows 2000 Server)

The 72 series tests are not widely advertised like the 70 series are. Check with the testing facility before you schedule through Vue. When I took mine, I was turned on to these by a really nice lady at the testing facility here & I've always had her schedule my tests since.

THis question would really depend more on your knowledge base then preference. Each test in the core set of builds on the exam, before it. So, it would seemingly make sense to start with the Win2K Pro exam and so on. However, if you have a significant amount of experience with Windows 2000 AD in both mixed NT4/2K environments along with solid PRO and Server experience, then perhaps you can shoot higher. No point in taking a more advanced exam if you haven't got the basics mastered.
