I'm trying to set up proxomitron on WinXP. I'm unable to get it to connect thru port 8080. The first window of proxomitron indicates "waiting for connections on 8080".
I'm also running Norton Firewall and have tried disabling Norton but with no luck.
Anyone have any ideas on how to get proxomitron up and running?
You have correctly set the Browser security settings to localhost : 8080 as per the instructions havent you?
104456, thanks for the reply. What I was trying to do was daisy chain Proxomitron and AdSubtract. The way I did it in w2k was to set IE for AdSub then AdSub was set for "next hop proxy".
But I've got it sorted now by reversing the order and setting IE and Opera to use Proxo first then AdSub.
