MailWasher Pro

It looks like MailWasher is a pretty handy tool. I've never used the program myself. I wonder what's the difference between MailWasher Pro and the free version of MailWasher.
Other than the way it looks, and the ease of the features, I don't know yet. It is put out by the same guy Nick Bolton. I have no idea why he separated himself from www.mailwasher.net, you think he wouldn't have.
After seeing this post and checking the link I sent the following email to mailwasher support:
"I like the program by the way and am glad I offered my
'Tip'.
I was on a computer forum page today where someone was mentioning the following:
http://www.firetrust.com/products/ma...7d71e84e1ad9cc
Most items on the site look as though they are the program you have generously offered to the public.
Is this site and yours affiliated with each other?
If so, am I entitled to an upgrade to this pro version?
Thank you for your time and attention."
--Following is their reply:
"Yes we are affiliated with Firetrust. All registered MailWasher users will receive a free version of MailWasher Pro in a couple of days when Nick sends out a newsletter.

I have never received a newsletter but hope I do when Nick sends it out.
I very much like the Mailwasher program. So much so that I paid the 'Tip'. I have never done that with any other 'donationware'.
The program is that good. I would suggest that if anyone is thinking about getting it, then now is the time to do so before the free version is no longer available.
The following is cut and pasted from the FireTrust site:
"Support and upgrades for a whole year."
Looks like the new version is or will be designed to be subscription ware.
The only difference between the free and registered version right now is the information pane at the top. It goes away after you register it. That is it. The free version works for life now.
The free version:

.Hi Report_2 - as a registered user of Mailwasher, what you say is quite correct. However, while that might be the only difference right now, that will radically change.Quote:

Compared to Mailwasher Pro, Mailwasher free will have with limited functions so do ya want to settle for that for the price of peanuts? C'mon, you have all had a great free ride for a couple of years now. Is there no support for the software developer?
BTW - same country but no relation :D
AnnMarie,
From my post:
"I very much like the Mailwasher program. So much so that I paid the 'Tip'. I have never done that with any other 'donationware'."
I liked it.
I paid for it simply to support the development of it.
Like I said; there is no functional difference between the free or registered versions besides the money.
Hi Report_2 - my second paragraph was not directed at you, just a general statement :)
You are correct when you say that there is no difference at the moment however I have seen confirmation that future versions of mailwasher free will offer reduced functions.
I installed MailWasher Pro today but I find no difference outside of the GUI.
I continue to run both versions.
