Saved a page from Internet as HTML but pictures are red X

Hi,
I saved a page from the internet via File>save as and chose html. These were instructions on a utility. When I viewed this on the web the pictures were all there. When I happened to look at what I saved later IE came up with the page, but I had no pictures only a box with a red X. Does anyone know why? Are there some settings I need to set in IE for the pictures to display after I downloaded the page? (I don't have synchronize set because when I tried to click on off line viewing re favorites it didn't work.)

some pages are blocked for content via cookies or content and others can be downloaded and viewed. i.e. pics jpg's etc. these could be protected content by the site or blocking right click apps.

Mainly do to protecting the property owners of the pics. copyrights etc.

If you want the images also you have to save as "Web page, complete".

The html file is just one file and the images are all individual files that are served in addition to the html file. Depending on how the images are linked they will be unavailable for viewing when you save the html page.

In my experience saving them as .mht's are the best (web archive, single file), and especially if you want to burn them to a CD. The only pages that consistently don't save are pages from MSNBC. :rolleyes:
