the file extension .bak is probly a backup file
save u installed norton utilites for windows 95 it will backup your autoexec.bat and config.sys files to autoexec.bak and config.bak
the your file that has .bak on the end it is a backup
Hope this helps

You can also try opening the bak files (provided that they are small enough wih notepad).
If you have mentioned already the autoexec.bak for example try opening it under notepad (file >> open>> all file types >>and run the file).
You'll see autoexec.exe standard command lines and in the present ones there are more of them - bak is the previous version of it - after NAV uninstalling you can get back to previous orginal ones - just thelordglen has written - it's a backup file.

STEBEL and thelordglen......MANY THANKS for your reply and Explanation....Of course, 'SILLY old Me' should know all this by now...Its there because I've been useing "FlipAlbum Pro 4"...But I still can't work out why it would put Doublers in my Folders, n why I've never noticed before..Don't make any sence to me...
It has not given me doublers of all the photos I've put into an Album, so why only put some into my Folders...
If I Delete FlipAlbum will these Dupes vanish, or will I have to Delete them one at a time.....I've begun to Realize I don't really need or have any use for FlipAlbum..Just Looks Nice thats all...I got Enough Files n Folders Full of Tiff n Jpg Photos without some progy produceing Doublers...
Many Thanks, regards, Dennis...

FlipAlbum 4 is a good programme (better that v5) and would be a shame to uninstall it. There must be a setting in Options where you can turn off the creation of backup duplicates.
