Custom Avatar!

Hey guys, can you tell me how can I get a custom avatar?

You can pick any bmp you want to use from somewhere on the net, download it to your PC and shrink it down to size using MSpaint. As I recall it has to be 65x65 pixels or 20kb maximum.

Drag the bmp into MSpaint and select Image/attributes to find out its size. If you need to make it smaller thern choose Image/skew and you can shrink it down using the horiz and vert selections.

One problem is that if you need to shrink something a great deal visual quality is sometimes lost.

Then in your user prefs... (user cp button, top left) select edit options and the avatar option is at the bottom of that page.

EDIT- I made a little error. I had said gif when I meant bmp.. I changed it.. if you want to use a gif (either can be used for an avatar) then gifworks, which is linked to below by 104456 is a way to work with one.

there are some available by going into your options menu via USER CP or you can design one yourself and download it to their server but it must meet the specs set for pixel/byte size.
