Error: No Paging File
After I log on Windows XP, the error message that goes something like 'Your System Has No Paging File, or the Paging File is Too Small' appears. I tried to follow the http://support.microsoft.com/defaul...b;en-us;q315270 file (I went to Security Permissions through regedit at local machines instead of going to c:\->File->Properties->Security Tab, which the tab doesn't exist, though I doubt that changes anything). That did not change anything. Does anyone know what is wrong?
My paging file is set at 4096, but I have no pagefile.sys (it is not hidden, it simply doesn't exist), so modifying the pagingfile through regedit (a value of C:\pagefile.sys 4096 4096) did not change anything.)
The paging file does not work with system managed either. I do have 20gb of free space...

Hi there, welcome to VirtualDr :)
To change the paging file setting you need to go to Control Panel>System>Hardware>Advanced>Performance>Settings>Advanced>Virtual Memory>Change. Click on the drive you want your Paging File to be on and then select Custom Size and set the maximum and minimum size to be 1.5 times the size of your RAM. (Doing this will also stop the Pagefile getting excessively fragmented).
