What's the best site builder? Nothing fancy needed. Won't spend much money. Not Frontpage.
Thanks.

I know you don't want Front Page, but what about Frontpage Express,
I still think it beats the rest hands down.
The best site builder (wysiwyg) by a mile is dreamweaver, it very expensive however, try a 30 day trail version and you will know where your money would be going, it's excellent.
Hotmetal pro is also a very good wysiwyg editor, it's quite inexpensive about $49 i think.

Try searching for wysiwyg html editors.

Hi Jerry,
Arachnophilia is a good freebie worth checking out.
I'm going to grab this opportunity to toss out a word of caution. (This one's on your turf, Jerry) A powerhouse of a freebie is Eversoft's 1st Page 2000. I used to wholeheartedly endorse this software. I have my reservations at the present time. I've recently stumbled across some posts here and there on the web about script within 1st Page containing JS.WindowBomb (a.k.a. Six Buttons From Hell). I've not encountered this issue (but my download is a couple years old), so perhaps it's in newer script that's bundled with more recent downloads? Don't mean to take your post sideways, but offering a heads up just in case! -Kat
Thanks, all.
I'm going to try Frontpage Express. I seem to recall criticism of Frontpage's generated code, but since its already installed on my system .....
If FE doesn't cut it, I'll try the others.
FWIW, I've been using HTML-kit from http://www.chami.com/ and recommend it highly if you code in HTML.
Kat - Thanks for the warning about 1st Page 2000.
I seem to remember posts mentioning its likely that some hosts dont support Frontpage plug ins so check first.
Whoa, Nellie! You jogged my memory. I believe its also incompatible with Netscape, et al. Haven't heard those remarks lately so will double check. Thanks.
NO! Bill would never do that would he  :DQuote:

Some of the features require front page extensions to be installed on your web hosts server, therefore you must be on a windows server, not good if you use php, sql etc, a lot of hosting companys also charge for the privledge, the code can also be messy, so i usually find myself doing a lot of cleaning up if get a site done in frontpage, however its still quite a polished piece of software
