Hello. What is the best, fastest, easiest to use VCD program to download from the net? I would like one that is free, and able to convert AVI and MPEG formats so that a CDRW can be played on my regular DVD player (Panasonic). Thanks.

Hello,
You may find what you are looking for at any of these sites :
http://www.vcdhelp.com
http://www.mpegx.com
http://webattack.com
Unfortunately I cannot recommend any specific software but these sites provide user ratings based on ease of use / range of functions etc, as well as screenshots, and state clearly whether each is Free or Shareware.
I believe that all software hosted above is scanned for viruses before being offered for download - however it may be advisable to run Adaware to eliminate any spyware that may have been included.

There are some nice tutorials here:

I posted on a thread here this AM 01-10-03 , regarding my experiences with CDR's and it launched ok, but I don not see it anywhere on the this multimedia thread. Was it deleted purposely? Or why is it not showing up ? It would be frustrating to have to type it all over again.... :(
Razor....Is this what you're looking for?

Yes Fink; that was it. Thanks for letting me know. I don't know why I could not find it . I checked out every file in the multimedia forum and I could not find it. Since they upgraded VD, I have not used it enough to find my way around. Must have got lost .
No problem.. Just click on (your own) profile and then in the upper right corner click on "search for all posts by this user"... you'll get the last twenty five made with the most recent at the top.
Not free but NeroVision is the best VCD software I've used yet...
