I have a slaved 80 GB hard drive that contains 30GB of data. The drive is formatted FAT32 and is not partitioned. I would like to create a partition of 10MB on which to image the master drive. Can I partition the slave drive by going to my computer/manage without loosing any data or must I purchase a program to do this?

I'm pretty sure that you can partition without losing info -- it's when you have multiple partitions and you want to re-partition, or turn them all into one, that you run into problems...
If i'm wrong, I do know that you can use Partition Magic to do what you're looking to do...

By using power Quest Partition Magic 7.0 and above you can resize your partition without loosing your data

You should always back up your data before attempting any partitioning operation, though. I lost a few gigs worth the other day when PM7 locked up on me. Fortunately I had it all backed up to CD-R.
