lost files in 3.1

Needed to transfer .doc files to disk. Highlighted them and "moved" them to a floppy, when floppy was full I put a new floppy in and clicked retry (did this for 8 floppy's) most of the file came through but some (the most important ones) did not and now there not there at all. did a "find" .doc nothing.

Are they gone?

If you're running MS-DOS 6.2x, you might try UNDELETE
