ide raid

Is it possible to have a four drive array
that is both raid 1 AND raid 0?

if so, where to start, to configure the array for a win2k server?

Thanks Vernon, that's exactly what I was looking for. I thought I had read somewhere that it could be done w/ SCSI drives, just didn't know if it could be done w/ide drives too.

Through your link I found that promise makes one that works w/ IDE. "FastTrak100 TX2"

Now one more question before I finish (virtually) configuring this new file server and move on to the "talk" w/ boss about funding.

Should I install a fifth drive to handle the o.s., and set the IDE raid 1-0 array as the storage area, or can I (should I) just place the o.s. on the drive array also?

I'm not quite sure which way to go, The array would be faster, but the separate drive may be safer. (Easier to secure)

Any suggestions are appreciated.
