Is there a way to convert an audio tape to a CD? What type of equipment will I need, thanks.
You will need audio editing software like goldwave...which is shareware but will allow a certain amount of full usage during the trial period and also a cable to connect from the output of your cassette deck to the line level input of your sound card to transfer the data....

Data Becker Music CD Recorder.
This is how I do mine.
I have a cable plugged into the headphone jack of my stereo. The other end is plugged into the "line in" on my sound card. Lauch the Data Becker program, choose record, put a tape in the stereo and push play.
When all is done, there is another button to create a CD. Put a blank Cd in and have at it.
