When you register with this forum, an activation email is sent. This email has a link you must click or visit before you will be able to post messages. This is to confirm that you are a real person. You might also have to activate your account after changing your email address.

There are generally two common reasons why you may not get the activation email.

The most obvious reason is that you put in a bad email address. You should verify that you entered a valid email address.

Secondly, public mail programs such as yahoo, hotmail, and others have a tendency to move emails from Web sites into the bulk mail/spam folder. To help prevent this from happening, you should create a contact for webmaster@virtualdr.com. If you used an email address from one of the public systems, you should check the spam/bulk mail folder for the activation message.

If you find that neither of these reasons are valid for you, then you should check filtering on your mail server (or with your ISP's mail server) to verify that it is not filtering @vitualdr.com mail.

Why mark your thread resolved?

When you are browsing the forums it becomes useful to know which threads have open questions and which ones have been satisfactorily answered. This saves us all time when deciding which threads to post in. Hence, it is the forum custom to mark your thread resolved.



How do I do it?

To mark your thread as resolved, find the Thread Tools link on the bar above the first post. Click on and a menu will drop down showing you some options. From these choose "Mark Thread Resolved" which is the bottom-most option.



This will change the thread icon to the green tick mark and prepend the [RESOLVED] text to the thread title.

If you are logged into the forum,click on your own username at the bottom of the forum under "currently active users" (it will always be the first name). That will take you to your own user profile. On the lower left-hand side click the link that says "find all posts by..."

If you are looking at one of your posts, and would like to find the others, click your own username in the post, and select "find more posts by" from the drop-down.

Another method, is to click search, click advanced search, and select search by username. Enter your own name in the text box, select all forums, and it will return all your posts (up to 500 of them). To find more than the last 500 posts, you must filter by date.
