W98 Peer to Peer - Add a W2000 or NT Computer?

Is it possible to add a W2000 or WNT computer to a W98SE network? Will it work? Will it cause problems?

Seems to be a simple question for which I haven't been able to find an answer.

    Hi Dave95,

Welcome to VirtualDr! This is a great place to hang out, to get help from others and to give help now and again. Normally, someone will come along soon with an answer to whatever problem has been posted.

Yes, you can have a "mixture" of such machines on a network together. Provided that the networking protocols are installed and the IP addresses are correct, it will work fine.

    Happy computing!

    Welcome to VDr,
As Limerick stated, you can have different operating systems running on a LAN.
I have 4 computers on mine...
    1-Win2000 advanced server
    1-Win2000 pro
    1-Win98
    1-Red Hat Linux 7.0
All machines use TCP/IP as the communication protocol. This setup works very well, with no problems at all.
