No domain server was available to validate...

I am trying to set up an internal network and I am having some trouble. I have one computer running just fine, but I get the error message "no domain server was available..." when trying to connect the other two. I have tried switching the ports on the hub, and connecting with dns and with wins both of which work for the computer that is working. Please help me I need to get this running. All help is greatly appreciated. Thanks.
(My OS is NTserver 4.0 and they are all 98)

One of your computers is an NT server and you've set up a domain with user accounts for each of the other computers? If you could provide more details on your network config/setup so we could have a little something more to go on to help you, I'm sure myself or someone else could give you some suggestions or a direction to go in.

I have my computer running NT server 4.0 and I have set up a domain. The other three computers are all windows 98. Two nics are in my machine, one that goes out to the internet, and the other that runs to the hub. I have one of the windows 98 computers talking to my computer and the domain, and he can access the internet. The other two however are not able to even talk to my computer. Basically, I am trying to make it so I computer talks to the internet, while the other three run through that computer. I was using DNS, but have since changed to WINS with no help other than for the guy already connected. I hope this is enough info if not let me know what else you need to know. Thanks

I would suggest using netbeui for your network. It's so much easier as it's designed for small networks. There's nothing to configure so you can avoid most of the headaches associated with TCPIP.
However, have you compared the network config for all 3 machines (the 1 that works with the 2 that don't?) to find out what the difference is? Have you confirmed the network cards work?

I am now running netBeui, and I can see the other computers on the network. However the two that weren't connected before still get the no domain server error, but all the Win98 machines can talk to eachother, but only one is able to talk to my computer. I have looked at the IP addresses, same subnet mask, same gateway and different IP's by one. Not sure what to do. Thanks.

Ok, you have netbeui installed on the NT server and a user account for each of the computers on the server? And you have netbeui as the default protocol on the win98 computers and have the correct NT domain listed in the client for ms networks logon validation section? The NIC is bound to netbeui? Try removing all other protocols but netbeui from the 2 computers you're having problems with.

you have told the tcp/ip config to disable DNS in win98? if you set the DNS to disable, and set up a DHCP server in Winnt, then the DNS info will be passed to Win98 from NT Server.
