ESS Maestro 1968Ms not responding--Help!!
I have installed this driver about 15 times. First I had to fdisk the HD because of a HD problem. So I installed the display adapter and that worked(three hours)and now the sounds. I have downloaded the exact drivers for this chip on my motherboard many, many times. First the arrow in the sound properties was greyed out and I couldn't preview the sounds. Now, I got the arrow to work and visually the preview works except that the sound is missing. I only get sound from the CD thur headphones.
I can put Windows 2000 on it and the sounds will be found right away. I have done this twice. Anyway, I have 98 on it and I am keeping it. So why can't I get the right drivers or settings for my sound. The hardware works fine. I have a ESS Maestro 1968MS A319 TTWA 34185V chip on the Motherboard by Micron and I have downloaded the 2016 driver and the 1100 ESS chip with no luck.
