    Archiving OE5 folders

    Am I missing something obvious.

I have a large number of messages taking up space in Outlook Express. I don't want to delete them but move them to CD-R and re-install if neccesary.

I have a file called folders.dbx which is currently 395mb in size. Moving files from OE5 doesn't seem to diminish this. Using the Export function is useless as this only allows me to export to other mail programmes.

All I want to do is move a number of old messages to an CDR and reclaim the space but with the option of re-importing them.

    What am I missing here?

    Welcome to VirtualDr

Actually you can export them and import them back which is what I'd recommend. Of course it'd take a whole bunch of time to just to get back a few mails. You could also organize and move them to NEW folders.
If you're happy and you know it......it's your meds.
