another dos question :)
ok, i think ive loaded dos onto my laptop, thing, from previous posting, and now i have another, when i list the dir on the c drive from the laptop, it only lists 'command'
is that all i need? or should i copy all the files from my floppy disk? and how do i do that?? thanks again! 
after all this may i be able to install win 3.1 back onto it??

I think I answered most af your questions in your previous post. As for copying files and so on... the next commands can be usefull to you:
C: puts you to the C: prompt
CD \ puts you to the root directory of current drive
MD DOS creates DOS directory on current drive
COPY A:\*.* C:\DOS copies all files from A: drive to C:\Dos directory.

I don't think just copying dos from the disks is going to do it for you. Usually they are compressed files and not useable. If you want dos on your laptop, you need to install it. If all you're going to do is install windows then you shouldn't really need to install dos, just the dos drivers for your cd-rom so you can install windows.
