Sharings COM ports
Dear Doc,
I would like to know if you have a program to share COM Ports.
I have a Palm III connected on COM3 and a USR internal modem connected on COM4.
I need a software to switch my Palm III commands ( from COM3 ) to my modem ( on COM4 ).
Can be a DOS program. I've try a Windows 95 VirtualPort, but it's hang because I'm using my mouse on COM1 in IRQ4 like a COM3.
I've try too change my COM3 to COM2. The problem is the same, because COM4 uses IRQ3 like COM3
I NEED HELP !!!!!
Best Regards !!!

Hi Marcelo,
Not the doc but i will try to help.
set
com1--irq4--mouse
com2--irq3--palmIII
com4--irq5--modem
You can usually set internal modem to non std irq of either 5 or 7 if you do not have a lan card, etc.
dos does not like to share irq. the above config usually works ok.
