Configure Outlook Express to AOL
Hi,
Does anyone have a clue how to configure
Microsoft's Outlook Express to recieve my
email from AOL? I've heard it can't be done
or that it doesn't work well, but I've also heard that it can be done through Claris Emailer. Whatever the case, can someone help me please?

Inside ole their are settings for your outgoing mail server and incoming mail server. On many occasions you'll find that the outgoing server is smtp.domain.net(COM) and that the incoming mail server is mail.domain.net(com). Also you need to find out if the server is a POP server or IMAP. Call AOL tech support and they should be able to answer these questions.

From http://postmaster.info.aol.com/index...7&menuid=14#9.
1.What is the name of AOL's POP3 server for using different e-mail software. ?
AOL e-mail is not currently compatible with POP3 e-mail programs. However, you may use AOL Mail on the Web to read your AOL e-mail when you are away from the computer on which your regular AOL client is installed. AOL Mail on the Web is a free service from America Online, and is accessible at http://www.aol.com/.

You WILL need a third party client to do this
See the M$KB 181429 article as to the reasons why
