Damaged Resource Forks
I am using a powerbook G3 with a superdisk. About 50% of my files are not opening properly. I used Norton Utlities to resolve the damage resource forks, but this program does not help. What can I do to fix this files. The data is important to me....

I am running MACOS 8.6. Is Parameter ram the same as P-ram?

yes, parameter ram is the same as PRAM.
Occasionally, older version of Nortons will report that it has fixed these types of problems when it really hasn't. Try TechTool Pro from MicroMat.
