CD-R as a CD Player?
I just bought a LaCie 4x8 CDr, and i want to know how i can use it as a normal CD rom drive, as well as a CD R. When i put CD's in it, it works fine, but when i put an audio CD in it, the audio will not transfer into the computer's speakers. Instead, the only sound going out of the CD-R is through the headphone jack. Although, it does have 2 RCA audio jacks in back. But since its connected to my computer through a SCSI chain, shouldnt the sound go into my computer? How can i make it go into my computer?

If you have the speaker wire that came with your Mac, you could plug one end into the front of the CDr, where the headphones would go, and the other into the base on the monitor, where the speaker line goes(depending on what kind of Mac it is and what kind of monitor it is) it should then play through the speakers.
You may want to test it with regular headphones first, in the plug in front of the CDr, to make sure that it will even play through the CDr.
