    Domain problems

After installing a new server into our domain, we get the problem that this server does not see the domain-controller for it's domain. The domain controller however sees the new server perfectly and so does the bdc. The event log of the new server gives the following error, which I could not find on the MS website:

The browser was unable to add the configuration parameter <domain name>

    source: Browser event-id: 8011

Does anyone has any ideas ? TIA

Remove the machine from the domain and put it into a workgroup, reboot. Remove the machine account from Server Manger on the domain controller. Sync the domain and wait a few minutes. Go back to the client and add it to the domain. Also make sure the client has IP connectivity prior to adding. If the PDC and client are on different subnets, make sure your WINS servers are working correctly and that the client has NetBIOS connectivity to the PDC.
