    Network Connection Diskette

I need some help, I'm trying to create a DOS boot disk that will connect to the nt server on out network. I've tried everything but can't seem to get the disk to connect to the server when the machine boots up.

Anyone know where I can find information on how to create an NT network bootable DOS diskette or know how this is done?

We use 3COM Etherlink III cards and the server is called SMC01.

    Thanks

MS has a utility that is fairly easy to use. Go to their web site to download it. I found it by doing a search for DOS clients (maybe had to tweak th search). Anyway, the article I read had a link to the MS FTP site, where I found it under one of the directories. I'll try e-mailing them to you as attachments.

    Oops... Your e-mail isn't availble....

If you have access to the NT Server Enterprise CD, it has a utility specifically designed for this. It can be found under the Clients\MSClient\Netsetup directory.

    http://www.wown.com/j_helmig/Dosclnt3.htm

    from:

    htp://www.wown.com aka http://www.helmig.com

    Helmig's very useful '95/'98/NTWs/NTSvr site...

The same info also used to be on John Savill's http://www.ntfaq.com but he seems to have removed it...?

John Savill's site is now at www.windows2000faq.com, part of the Windows 2000 magazine network.
